My vacuum is steering like it did the day I bought it, and this door and spring assembly was a perfect fit for the swap. The door clicks into place securely, and it took me less than ten minutes to install with a screwdriver.
The spring snaps back with a satisfying click, and the door seals tight against the housing again. Took maybe ten minutes to swap out and my Hoover picks up like it did when it was new.
My old vacuum's door was stuck shut and the spring had clearly given up, but this assembly clicked right into place and now the airflow sounds exactly like it did when the unit was new. Even the little hinge feels sturdy enough that I don't foresee needing another replacement anytime soon.
