I was a little skeptical about the clear plastic at first, but watching the dirty water get sucked right out of the carpet is weirdly satisfying. It clicks into the hose easily and made our above-floor cleaning feel a lot more thorough.
The transparent housing is a nice touch—I can actually watch the dirty water swirl away as I work, which makes the whole process feel more thorough. It snapped onto my hose easily and the suction stayed strong through two full carpet passes.
This clear surround is actually really useful, I can see exactly when the water turns from cloudy to clean while doing the rug. The nozzle pops off easy for the above-floor hose and clicks back on without any wrestling.
